One night in Bangkok!

I can't believe I was about to do a 12 hour flight across the world. I knew a Magners would calm the nerves.

Finally after the long journey we arrived in Bangkok, Clair met us at the airport. It was great to see her, looking like a teacher though. We left the airport for the hotel in what was to become the worlds scariest taxi journey. Squeezing in and out of tiny spaces, bumper to bumper all the way.

Somehow we made it to Madaleine's hotel, The Ambassador. After freshening up and getting change we went for dinner to a Thai restaurant and had our first sample of Thai food in Thailand. It was worth the journey! A night of many firsts, travelled by BTS for the first time as well.

Once we got to the restaurant we were sweating like mad so we knew a nice cold beer would to the trick and we were exactly right.

This bar is called Cheap Charlies its full of crazy stuff like animal skulls, wasps nests (uninhabited of course), strange signs, you name it, it has it lol.  Its basically a hole in the wall that serves cheap alcohol.  

This is a street vendor selling yummy "meat on a stick".  Of course we had to try one.  These vendors are everywhere, you will never go hungry in this city!!
